Get your Starfinder signed at the Gen Con Munchkin Tavern!

We've seen a lot of backers posting pictures and status updates with their Munchkin Starfinder swag. Keep it up – that makes us very happy and makes it more likely that the game will do well when it comes to retail in a few weeks. (If you have friends who missed this Kickstarter and would like to pre-order Munchkin Starfinder or the I Want It All! box, point them at Monday's Daily Illuminator for the details, or just have them print out this PDF form and take it to their Friendly Local Game Store.)
As we told you in the last update, those of you who already have your copies can get them signed by illustrator Howard Tayler at the Munchkin Tavern. He'll be there on Saturday, August 4, from 7 to 8 p.m., and we will have a very limited number of copies of Starfinder, Starfinder 2, and I Want It All! there to purchase, along with a bunch of other Tavern swag. A Gen Con badge isn't required to enjoy the fun at the Tavern. Come one, come all!
Speaking of Pre-Orders . . .
Two mini-expansions, Side Quests and Fowl Play, are up for pre-order on Warehouse 23 right now. Side Quests gives you new in-game goals to try for and a new way to win the game if you're smart and/or lucky enough. Fowl Play has ducks, drawn by John Kovalic . . . what else do you need to know?
Of course, we'd be happy for you to order these from your Friendly Local Game Store, but if you don't have one, Warehouse 23 is here to take care of your gaming needs.
The Fantasy Trip Is Live!
Steve Jackson's very first RPG, The Fantasy Trip, is live on Kickstarter now. This is a chance to own some gaming history – before In Nomine, before Toon, before GURPS, even before Steve Jackson Games itself, The Fantasy Trip delighted players with detailed rules that were still simple and fun. Now it's back! There are pledge levels from PDF only all the way up to "meet Steve at a convention and play a game with him," so gamers of every budget can take part in this Kickstarter. It's already blown through several stretch goals and it will just keep getting bigger and better. Check it out today!

Munchkin Starfinder Signings at Gen Con and Munchkin Unicorns and Friends on Kickstarter!

We're now less than a month from Gen Con, and as part of the festivities, we will again be hosting the Munchkin Tavern where you can find cool Munchkin swag and even get some games signed. This year, as part of the Munchkin Starfinder celebration, both Howard Tayler and Andrew Hackard will be signing games at the Munchkin Tavern; be sure to bring your favorite Munchkin Starfinder card to the show and get it signed!
We launched a new Munchkin mini-expansion yesterday, and at the moment, the project has already unlocked six stretch goals and is working on number seven! This time around, we've done all that we can to keep the shipping costs as low as possible; the cards are going into a tiny tuckbox so that the final package is as small and light as we can make it.
Illustrated by Katie Cook, Ian McGinty, and Len Peralta, Munchkin Unicorns and Friends is a bizarre blend of joyous insanity that shuffles right into the original Munchkin game as well as Munchkin Pathfinder, Munchkin Legends, Munchkin Grimm Tidings, and more! And as part of the project, we're offering the Katie Cook-illustrated Munchkin Spell Skool and Munchkin Oz Guest Artist Edition for those of you who want more than just the $10 mini-expansion reward.
Steve Signing at Origins, Cheats, and Improve Your Shelf!

We're preparing for the first big convention since mailing out all of the Munchkin Starfinder rewards, and that means that we're hoping to see some of you very soon. If you are at Origins next week, please be sure to bring along your Munchkin Starfinder game; Steve will be at the con all five days, and he will happily sign games during the scheduled times.
Will there be any Munchkin Starfinder fun for sale? Nope! We're really doing everything we can to give all of you who supported this project some "alone time" with the game before taking it into a wider release. Hopefully, by now, all of you who have received your games have had a chance to play. And if you haven't, and if you'll be at Origins, maybe you'll get your chance to play at the convention. Who here will be at Origins next week?
It's Time to Cheat!
Cheating has always been a part of Munchkin, even if some players tend to take it a little too far and cheat outside of the rules of the game. For those of you who cheat as allowed by the rules (and only in the most fun of ways), you'll be happy to hear that we've released a new pack of cards that feeds right into the excitement: Munchkin Cheats is available now!
Lastly, before we rush off to Columbus and the Origins show, we want to direct your attention to the Munchkin Shelf Improvement box currently available at Warehouse 23. This box of tuckboxes and mini-expansions is a great way to instantly boost your Munchkin collection and amaze your friends with a bunch of new cards all in one box. What's inside? Over $60 worth of different expansions . . . and all for only $30.
That's all for today, gang. It's time that we finish preparing for Origins (all while getting new Munchkin sets like Side Quests and Fowl Play ready for Gen Con). If you're at Origins next week, please stop by and say hi!

Munchkin Starfinder and Distribution Release

– Sat, Jun 02, 2018 at 10:53:59 PM
Now that many of you have received your games, and all of the international rewards have shipped, we've taken a closer look at the remaining copies of the game and know exactly how many games we will put into distribution later this year. Unfortunately, we will not have enough copies of Munchkin Starfinder 2 to send that title to stores, meaning that the expansion may be tougher to come by than we first expected.
When will Munchkin Starfinder, including the I Want It All! box, go into stores? At the moment, we're planning to ship the game to distributors in September or October, which puts it in stores either late October or early November. For those of you who want to grab extra copies to hand out as gifts, you should be able to preorder at your friendly local game store later this summer.
Christmas In July Stretch Goals!
In other news, the Munchkin Christmas in July project closes in a few days, and two of the project's stretch goals have already been unlocked, adding more promo cards and another Munchkin mini-expansion into the box. For those of you who are unsure of which sets are classified as mini-expansions, please see this page at the official website. As you can tell, we have released a lot of small packs over the years, and all because of your incredible support and kind feedback on the small sets. Thank you.
